Education & Background
Dr. Sunwoo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York and his medical education from the Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica. He then attended Georgetown University Hospital/National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and a pain medicine fellowship.
Board-certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine, Dr. Sunwoo opts for a conservative approach to pain management and always prioritizes the well-being of each patient. He’s highly skilled in interventional pain procedures for sensitive areas of the neck and lower back and has received training for diagnostic interventional procedures and electrodiagnostics. Dr. Sunwoo also has experience treating painful musculoskeletal conditions affecting the shoulders, hips, and knees.
Outside the office, Dr. Sunwoo maintains interest in the medical field. He’s a current member of the Texas Medical Association, as well as the Dallas County Medical Society.
